Namdroling Monastery is that the largest teaching centre of Nyingmapa, a lineage of Lamaism, within the world, and homes over 5 thousand monks and nuns. situated in Bylakuppe, a part of the Mysuru district of the state of province, the monastery is home to a sangha community of over 5 thousand lamas a middle school school named Yeshe Wodsal Sherab Raldri Ling, a non secular faculty and hospital.
History

How To Reach Sri Nandi Temple
Namdroling Monastery is approx 70-80 Kms from Mysore in Kushal Nagar. If you are only going to see this Namdroling Monastery, i would not recommend to.If you are planning to visit Coorg, Namdroling Monastery is a must see while on the way. There are state transport buses goes to Kushal nagar but i would recommend to hire a cab or rent a car.When you come out and reaches main road, take a right and that highway directly goes to Namdroling Monastery.
Festivals:
Namdroling religious residence hosts many ceremonies yearly. Of specific interest is Tibetan twelvemonth (Losar), supported the satellite Calendar; dates don't seem to be static however sometimes occurring within the months of Feb or March.
